Redshift

Call for Scores and Projects

Redshift Music, a Canadian New Music Organization, is seeking scores and project ideas for possible future performances. Specifically we are looking for chamber music compositions or project ideas of a spatial nature (i.e. with the musicians surrounding the audience).

If you have composed or are composing spatial music please let us know about it.

ABOUT REDSHIFT:

Redshift Music has presented numerous spatial music events in unique venues such as atriums, parks, libraries, and are interested in new and exciting ideas.

ELIGIBILITY:

Composers and Practitioners of Contemporary Art Music of any Age or Nationality are eligible.

DURATION & INSTRUMENTATION:

There are no restrictions on instrumentation or duration although we are more interested in acoustic projects not involving electronics.

DEADLINE:

November 1, 2010 for consideration in our 2011-2012 season.

SUBMISSION INFORMATION:

Please submit by email only. Send scores as pdf files and recordings, if available, as mp3's.

Please include as many details as possible about your piece or project idea.

No submission fee is required.
