About HCMF
HCMF is an annual 10 day international Festival of new music, consisting of approximately 50 events, including concerts, music-theatre, dance, multimedia, film and jazz hosted in a variety of venues in and around Huddersfield. Now in its 31st year, HCMF attracts an annual audience of over 10,000 people from around the globe, and boasts consistent success and world-wide recognition.
HCMF Shorts
HCMF Shorts is a series of short informal performances which this year will take place all day on Monday 24 November 2008. They provide up-and-coming musicians with a valuable platform to perform for members of the public, media and key music industry representatives at the UK’s leading new music Festival.
This year the HCMF Shorts series will be accompanied by an Industry Marketplace where emerging artists will be able to meet promoters, record labels and publishers and find out about opportunities available to them.
Proposals are welcomed from all types of performers, and works can be especially composed or existing pieces. There are no age limits.
Closes Monday 02 June 2008
