Call For Scores
DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATION MATERIALS: March 15, 2007
The 63rd Annual Composers Conference will take place July 22-August 5, 2007 at Wellesley College, Wellesley, Massachusetts. Guest composers are Pablo Ortiz and Martin Brody. Composers are invited to submit scores for judges' selection of ten Fellows. The ten chosen Fellows will attend the Conference and will have readings and performance of a piece to include any combination of the following:
1 each: flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, trumpet, trombone; 2 pianos, 2 percussionists, double string quartet, 1 contrabass, 1 soprano
Submissions for judging need not conform to this instrumentation. Submissions must include the following:
- One copy of a sheet of paper indicating name, institutional affiliation (if any), postal and email addresses, telephone and fax numbers, the name of the work(s) submitted, the performance medium, and the duration of the work.
- Application fee of $15.00, made by check, payable to the Composers Conference.
- Each score should be accompanied by a separate CD or cassette recording, if available.
- For return of your materials, please enclose a self-addressed, stamped (not metered postage) mailing folder.
To be considered, all application materials MUST arrive by March 15, 2007. Awards will be announced after April 15, 2007. Submit scores to:
