Postmark Deadline: May 2, 2003 Composers of any nationality and gender are invited to take part in the 9th City of Klagenfurt Gustav Mahler Composition Prize 2003. This year's competition is for solo clarinet and Big Band, with electronic input (including live electronics) as an additional option. Pieces should be 15-20 minutes in duration. The compositions must be previously unpublished and unperformed. Only one work per composer can be entered. There are three prizes: 1st prize, EUR 3600 (approx. US $3875); 2nd prize, EUR 2900; and 3rd prize, EUR 2200.
