Receipt Deadline: May 1, 2003 The Hardanger Fiddle Association of America (HFAA) invites composers and fiddlers to submit original or arranged music for Hardanger fiddle (solo or in small ensembles) to be considered for inclusion in the first AmerikaSlaattar Concert at AmeriKappleik in July 2003. HFAA encourages the creation of new music for the Hardanger fiddle (hardingfele). Though slaatt is the Norwegian term for traditional instrumental music piece, the call is broad and inclusive and is meant to encourage as wide a range of new music as possible.
